New Siel UPS - 50% Energy Saving

New Siel UPS - 50% energy saving

Power provisioning specialist Powermode has launched the latest version of the Siel EVO Safepower uninterruptible power supply (UPS) range in South Africa, a key feature of which is its ability to deliver up to 50% energy savings, compared to previous-generation systems.

Powermode, which enjoys strong ties with Siel, one of Europe’s premier UPS manufacturers, will target the new units – dubbed the HF range - at the growing demand for energy efficient solutions in high-density, high-pressure environments, particularly those found in the financial services, retail and Internet service provider (ISP) sectors.

Jack Ward, Powermode MD, says the 3-phase, 10 -120 kVA Siel range is geared to meet the scalability demands of growing businesses, while the use of the latest “green” technology, featuring microprocessor controlled components, provides maximum protection to powered loads with no impact on down-steam systems.

“The expectation of a reduction in energy consumption in mission critical facilities through more appropriate and effective power usage is becoming one of the top priorities in business,” says Ward.

“Today, a reliable, quality on-line UPS system that integrates seamlessly into the overall power infrastructure of an organisation is an absolute necessity. At the same time, users are realising that their UPS of choice should also offer high operating efficiencies throughout the full load spectrum by incorporating the latest design technology.”

He says new-generation technology allows all models in the EVO Safepower HF range to extend the average working life of their battery sets, significantly reducing lifetime management costs.

Glauco Pensini, marketing and sales director of Milan-based Siel spa, says he is pleased to be able to bring the latest Siel technology to South African users through its successful partnership with Powermode.

“From a technology perspective, an impressive feature of our new range is its 0.9 power factor rating, enabling our UPS to deliver more power – and thus power more equipment - than the lower-specification UPSs with an equivalent VA rating,” he says.

All Siel UPS systems are covered by Powermode’s comprehensive warranty and are technically supported by the nationwide footprint of its service network.
